Make your Retro Prints - quick & easy

Make your own Vintage Prints at Pixum

Regardless of the unprecedented development of digital photography and the technical possibilities to take high-resolution images with smartphone cameras, the look and feel of vintage photos is now more popular than ever. Characteristic of these photos is the almost square format and a white or coloured area that frames the image. In addition, this framework has often been signed with a caption or title. With Pixum you have the possibility to design and personalise retro photos in a Retro look (10x10cm format). To create your own vintage style prints got to Vintage Prints and click on "Create here" at the bottom. The first, horizontal symbol stands for the classic Retro layout with frame and labeling. After opening the retro prints in the Pixum Online Editor, you can now change the settings and make your vintage prints your very own creation.

Frame, colour, text: Customise your Retro-style Prints

There are several options for customising your photos in Retro style: For example, changing the background colour of the prints (default is white) or to adding text to the image. The settings can be found in the image preview. With a self-chosen caption, retro prints are given a personal touch. Double-Click on the standard field "Your text" which will lead to the text editor, in which individual texts can be created and formatted. Choose between different font types, sizes, colours and formats and create the perfect frame for your picture.

The available frame colours vary from classic white and light colours to striking, distinctive colours and can be adapted to any image. The retro photos layout is especially suitable for pictures taken for Instagram: The almost square internal format of the retro-style prints fits the Instagram format and the filters of the app often replicate old photos themselves - for example, in the feel of vintage cameras. This means that an authentic retro feeling can be created even without knowledge in digital image processing.
